In 2017, the nonprofit HEART partnered with the Bay Lake Woodturners Club and others to launch a program in Kisii County, Kenya that teaches young adults woodturning alongside life skills, health, teamwork, and entrepreneurship. Graduates have improved their lives and started various businesses beyond woodturning.

The film follows three graduates—Vinic, Brian, and Felix—now emerging as leaders. To expand, HEART has purchased land and plans to build a NextGen Empowerment Center with a larger woodturning facility and additional programs like farming, beekeeping, and small-scale manufacturing.
